Dr Giacomo Indiveri is a Senior Lecturer at INI. He graduated in Electronics Engineering from the University of Genova, Italy in 1992 and obtained a post-doctoral fellowship at Caltech from 1994 to 1996. He has since gained more than 10 years experience at INI in the design and fabrication of neuromorphic electronic circuits that implement cortical processing. He is an expert in the construction of spike-based learning, winner-take-all architectures, and hardware attentional systems. Indiveri has co-organized the annual Neuromorphic Engineering Workshop since 1999. He was appointed associate editor for the 2003 IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks, Special Issue on Neural Networks Hardware Implementations, and recently published the book Analog VLSI:Circuits and Principles, with S-C Liu, J Kramer, T Delbruck, and R Douglas.
